Welcome to the web site of the Ashby and District Stroke Support Group!
The purpose of this website is to let people know of
the friendly social nature of our group, where and when we meet, our aims, and
that
at the discretion of the Organiser,
membership is open anyone
who has suffered a stroke.
The Group has been active continuously since 1991 and is independent and not under the control of any local authority or other body but is affiliated to The Stroke Association.
We welcome new members and transport is available for pick-up within a reasonable area, but if you can make your own way either with a relative or by taxi, it is a big help and is appreciated.
Our meetings are held at Brown Court, Atkinson Road, Ashby, Leicestershire, fortnightly at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
We have members from Ashby, Appleby Magna, Blackfordby, Measham, Moira and Twycross.
